Mr Marc Innes-Brown PSM
Australian Ambassador to Turkey
Marc Innes-Brown began his assignment as the Australian Ambassador to Turkey in July 2017. He is a senior career officer with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and was most recently First Assistant Secretary, Middle East and Africa Division.
In Canberra Mr Innes-Brown has held a range of positions in DFAT, including as Assistant Secretary, Middle East Branch, and Assistant Secretary, Iraq Taskforce. He has previously served overseas as Australia’s Ambassador to Iran and Ambassador to Iraq.
Mr Innes-Brown holds a Bachelor of Economics (Honours) from the University of Sydney and a Master of Arts (Political Science) from the University of Hawaii.
Ms Jeffie Kaine
Australian Consul-General in Istanbul
Jeffie Kaine began her assignment as the Australian Consul-General in Istanbul in January 2018. She is a career officer with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and was most recently Director, Head of Mission/Senior Executive Service Section.
In Canberra, she has held a range of positions, including in the Iraq Task Force and Staffing Branch. She has previously served overseas in the Australian Permanent Mission to the United Nations in Geneva and the Australian Embassy in Jakarta.
Mr Dylan Walsh
Australian Consul, Canakkale
Mr Walsh has been Australia’s Consul in Canakkale since June 2016. He joined the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in 2007, and has previously served overseas in Timor Leste and as First Secretary at the Australian High Commission in Malaysia. In Canberra he has worked in the South-East Asia Division and was seconded to the multi-agency Operation Sovereign Borders Joint Agency Task Force.
Prior to joining the Department, Mr Walsh worked in the Department of Defence, and served overseas in Iraq and in Timor Leste. Mr Walsh holds a Bachelor of Asian Studies and a Bachelor of Commerce from Murdoch University in Perth, Western Australia.
