Mr Miles Armitage
Australian Ambassador to Türkiye
Miles Armitage began his assignment as the Australian Ambassador to Türkiye in August 2021. He is a senior
career officer with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and was recently Australia’s Ambassador to Jordan. He has previously served overseas as Australia’s Ambassador to Timor-Leste, Deputy Head of Mission, Australian Embassy, Philippines as well as postings in New York and Islamabad. He also served as Ambassador for Counter-Terrorism.
Mr Armitage holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours); Diploma of Museum Studies, from the University of Sydney; and a Diploma of Foreign Affairs and Trade from the Australian National University.
Mr Tony Huber
Australian Consul-General in Istanbul
Mr Huber is a career officer with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and was most recently Director, Non-Tariff Barrier Strategies Section. Mr Huber has previously served overseas as Consul-General in Mumbai and had earlier postings to Canada, the United States and India.
Mr Huber holds a Graduate Diploma of Foreign Affairs and Trade from the Australian National University (1993); and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Canberra (1983).
Mr Harry Hall
Australian Consul Çanakkale
Harry Hall began his assignment as the Australian Consul for Çanakkale in January 2023, and is resident in Ankara. He is a career officer with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and was most recently Acting Director, Japan and Korea Economic Section.
He has previously served overseas in Australian Embassies in Paris, France and Dili, Timor-Leste.
