Payment and lodgement information

Online lodgement, including your credit card details at that time, is the preferred way to lodge and pay for your application.

Online applications paid for using credit card will be processed in Australian dollars (AUD). We accept MasterCard, Visa, AMEX, Diners and JCB. You may also incur a credit card surcharge, as well as banking and currency conversion fees, and currency fluctuations.

Prior to lodging your application, you may need to notify your bank of an upcoming foreign credit card transaction. Failure to do so may result in your transaction being declined.

If we do not receive payment with your application, your application will be invalid.

Please note:

  • Cash is not accepted by mail.
  • Payment cannot be made at the Australian Embassy in Turkey.

Payment by Cash

All cash payments for paper applications must be made at an Australian Visa Application Centre. Payments at these centres can only be made in cash in Turkish Lira (TL). Information on location, opening hours and fees and charges for this service can be found through the following link:

Payment by Credit Card

If you wish to pay for a paper application using your credit card, you will need to complete a Payment Details Form 1440. You will be charged an additional fee for lodgement of your application at the Australian Visa Application Centre – this fee must be paid directly to them.
